Riot changes Neeko’s hitbox from League of Legends when another champion needs it more
Which champion has a surprisingly small hitbox compared to the other characters?
Hitboxes in League of Legends aren’t something that is often talked about when it comes to champions. Most of the discussion is about Skillshots and how they are animated in characters. It’s rare to talk about how big a hero actually is in a game.
A change from Update 12.4, the details of which have already been revealed to the community (Earlier detailed description of patch 12.4 in LoL. Big Zeri nerfs and more) that affected Neeko, improved the heroine’s hitbox to better reflect her in-game size. However, players noticed another champion, which in the game code is smaller than its model might suggest. Who are we talking about?
Warwick’s surprising hitbox
First, it’s worth taking a look at the change that will appear in League of Legends on February 16, patch 12.4. The heroine’s hitbox has been reduced from 80 to 65. The change is understandable – Neeko had a larger hitbox than many heroes of a similar size. According to the game code, the character was as big as, for example, Urgot or Ornn.
Neeko’s changes, however, drew players’ attention to Warwick. When it comes to him, the situation is quite opposite. The champion has a much smaller hitbox than what the model size in the game might suggest.
Since that is getting changed, I just want to point out that Warwick has an odd hitbox size of 55 (small) that he shares with champions like Fizz, Annie and Teemo. Even Yuumi has a bigger hitbox (65).
Hitboxes are certainly an essential aspect of the game that directly affects whether or not a hero gets hit with a Skillshot. Whether it is too big or too small, it can be frustrating. It is difficult to determine in advance how Neeko’s corrections can affect the heroine, but they will certainly affect her stats.
At the moment, it is not known whether Riot will decide to address the problem pointed out by the players. It’s hard to imagine that, according to the game, Yuumi could be about 15% larger than Warwick.
