Players of these LoL characters go AFK most often. The game community has noticed an interesting correlation

What can you say about fans of certain characters? Some of them most often go AFK.

Going AFK, or literally walking “away from keyboard,” is a phenomenon that is quite common in League of Legends. Sometimes players decide to be AFK after a play doesn’t work out or they get upset with someone on their team.

Of course, there is also no shortage of situations in which a playing person has something to do in real life and has to step away from the computer for a while. But regardless of why someone becomes idle during a match, such behavior always affects the gameplay and often contributes to a loss. Not surprisingly, the LoL community dislikes people who notoriously go AFK.

However, does doing this have to do with the characters the person plays? There are some statistics that show that fans of certain characters are much more likely to walk away from the keyboard.

Being main and going AFK

There are many stereotypes in the League of Legends community. For example, it is said that Yasuo players often feed and show off 7 mastery level. There are, of course, many more such associations, although they do not often apply to going AFK.

On leagueofgraphs.com you can find a collection of statistics related to being “away from keyboard,” including, among other things, linking this to mains a particular champion.

Below is a summary of champions and their fans from all regions (it’s worth taking into account, as statistics from region to region vary slightly).

Reddit user ConstantSwordfish250 pointed out that the above statistics show an interesting correlation. Of course, at the very top you can find Yasuo mains, which is unlikely to surprise anyone, but when you go lower, you can see that most of the champions are characters who play mainly in the top lane.

The player suggested that this could mean that top lane players mostly go AFK, which could mean that they tend to get angry and leave the game after a failed action or a generally poor start to the line phase.

It is also worth noting that there is no typical shooter or support players in the list. Such characters appear in the ranking, but are ranked much lower in it.
