One notable Taliyah change from LoL that Riot forgot to mention. Preview of new skills
Additional information about Taliyah’s changes and a preview of her revamped skills.
Yesterday, League of Legends players were informed about a big Taliyah rework – CLICK. Each of the heroine’s skills, including the passive, will undergo changes. This means that maybe 6 years after the release, she will return to the meta or, at least, her low pick rate will increase slightly.
The developers, however, forgot to write about a certain key change to “E”, explaining how CC works. In addition, it is already known what the reworked skills look like in the game.
The appearance of Taliyah’s skill and the operation of CC
The Stoneweaver is certainly not one of those popular and strong characters. She is selected only in 1.4% of games. This is just 0.5% more than Aurelion Sol, and this one is already planned for a full rework – CLICK. Therefore, the creators decided to change her a bit so that she would return to the game again and gain new mains.
We don’t have to wait long for the new skills, they are already available on the test server, and they will be introduced to the game in update 12.9, scheduled for May 11. Here is what the changed “Q” looks like on Unraveled Earth. Now it is one big boulder with AoE effect:
This is how the new “E” looks, which is no longer a cone, but more like a rectangle:
New rocks will work against opponents trying to get to Taliyah. They are supposed to stop dashing heroes for 1 second. However, not quite as the players assumed. Riot August has just added that the CC will trigger until the end of the dash animation and not immediately.
This means that, for example, dashing Xin Zhao will jump to the target but stop at the end of the animation. One player asked why Ahri’s charm is able to hold the dash but this ability does not. It turns out that it is about the difficulty of hitting. The fox’s “E” is much narrower and does not pass through the minions. Additionally, it is only able to hold one target.
