Olaf’s changes turned out to be so good that Riot has to weaken the hero after several dozen hours
Olaf’s new skillset nerfs have hit test servers.
League of Legends fans have been able to learn about the upcoming major changes to Olaf, Taliyah and Swain relatively recently. Some of the corrections have already hit the test servers, where players can test the new incarnation of the hero. There are many changes, and a complete list of them can be found in another article (Description of Olaf’s rework. Riot with the biggest problems and changed character skills).
It turns out that the changes made the champion really strong, and the developers had to correct them with the appropriate nerfs. What exactly was weakened?
Weakening the new Olaf
Riot designers have prepared a large list of changes for Olaf. His W was completely rebuilt, and a new version of that skill turned out to be too strong. On top of that, the ultimate got some big changes, which also required some nerfs. What is the list of corrections that the creators had to release a moment after introducing the mini-rework?
Vicious Strikes (W)
The endurance in the early game is too high. Especially when the hero goes to the jungle.
- Base shield value lowered from 70/115/160/205/250 to 10/45/80/115/150
- Missing health ratio now reaches full value with 30% remaining HP
Ragnarok (R)
Since the hero doesn’t have to lose passive resistance anymore, we had to reduce it a bit. We are also weakening the Active AD bonus, as the hero now has more base attack damage.
- Passive resistances lowered from 20/30/40 to 10/25/40
- AD bonus lowered from 15/20/25 (+ 30% AD) to 10/20/30 (+ 25% AD)
