LoL’s “missing” ping will be changed again. Riot has exceptionally listened to players

Developers have announced that LoL’s distinctive question mark will be changed again. Will it look better now?

About two weeks ago, Riot unveiled plans for the new preseason. They announced changes to the jungle, item modifications, and so on. Among the novelties were additional pings and graphic refreshes of those that have been in the game for a long time. Most of the novelties didn’t cause a particularly large backlash, but one thing strongly pissed off the community.

It turned out that players do not want the incredibly distinctive “missing” ping to be changed to a new version. The graphics presented by the developers were called ugly and incompatible with the game. It was claimed that Riot is trying to simplify everything and is slowly making League into something that resembles a mobile title (see: Community criticizes new design of one of LoL’s most iconic pings).

There were so many negative comments that the developers decided that they would redesign the new graphics to make them more appealing to players. Does the redesign actually look better?

It is worth recalling how the whole process of change looked like and what exactly is the difference between all versions of this ping.

A new version of the graphics unveiled last night:

Does the new version appeal more to the LoL community? From the comments, it seems that opinions are sharply divided. Some say it’s better and are ready to accept the change, while others insist that nothing can replace the old ping, which has become a hallmark of the League.
