The LoL community is asking you to reintroduce Traditional skins for characters that have undergone a rework.
A few years ago in League of Legends, players with a character that was fully reworked received a Traditional skin for that character before the update. Now the creators do not make such sentimental gifts anymore, which saddens the community.
There are really many skin candidates. Especially now, when every year developers publish a survey of candidates for a full rework.
Should traditional skins come back?
Many League of Legends fans, especially the older ones, miss the old days, character looks, maps, and balance. Some time ago, the chronoshift project was created, bringing LoL back to the first seasons, and it caught on really well. Unfortunately, it was quickly closed by Riot due to the lack of copyright.
Now there is a post on Reddit about old legacy skins. Everyone who had purchased a hero received them in return:
Traditional skins were created to reflect the original atmosphere of our first champions before we completely reworked them. Every player who owned the champion before the update will get them.
This applies to these characters:
- Tradycyjna Karma,
- Tradycyjna Sejuani,
- Tradycyjny Trundle.
However, for unknown reasons, the creators gave up this idea and now they do not create them anymore, although it may seem that it is not a complicated task at all. All they’d need to do is properly place the old model for new animations.
One of the artists nicknamed TorokArt even created his own ideas of what they could look like. Here are some examples of his work:
There are many candidates for such content. For several years, the rework was given to, among others:
- Yorick,
- Swain,
- Evelynn,
- Galio,
- Akali,
- Kayle,
- Fiddlesticks,
- Mordekaiser,
- Sion,
- Aatrox,
- Pantheon,
- Urgot,
- Warwick,
- Gangplank.
As such, it is hardly surprising that players miss the Traditional Skins series and would like to see it back in the game.
As the user by the name of SilenceofRage notes, the creators probably thought they weren’t worth the time, considering that a small number of players are playing them. Some, however, would certainly like to feel nostalgic and return to the old times.
