One of the older League of Legends heroines will receive a VFX update. What do the changes look like?
Janna is one of the older League of Legends heroines. Her skill set is not significantly different from the one that appeared in the game at launch. The same also applied to the appearance of the heroine and her animations.
Riot decided to look at the character in question and improve her appearance. Practically each of the skins has been completely overhauled, and the developers have already shared a clip that shows the refreshed incarnations of the heroine. What exactly do they look like?
What does the refreshed Janna look like?
Riot Pehrek, who is an engineer on the team responsible for heroes in League, published a post informing the community that Janna has received a refreshed look. The fixes are expected to hit the servers in patch 12.19, and mainly focus on improving readability, optimization and making the new look better reflect the character’s personality.
Similar to previous VFX updates we’ve made in the past (Fizz, Leona, Nami, etc.), we’re working on making improvements to champions whose spell effects are in need of some love. Our aim is to get their visuals to League’s current standards and improve gameplay clarity. These are smaller updates geared toward improving some of the oldest members of the roster. They aren’t in the same prioritization conversation as to how we decide who gets a VGU.
The basic look of the heroine has been completely overhauled, and older skins, in addition to reflecting changes in the default look, have been expanded with several new elements.

The new look of the heroine can be looked at on the test servers now, while the fixes will hit the live servers soon in update 12.19, which is scheduled to arrive on the live servers on October 5.
