“It’s not Sunfire’s that’s the problem” – LoL players are again complaining about champion damage
Is the damage dealt by League of Legends characters unbalanced?
Each update in League of Legends brings a lot of news to the game – apart from the fact that new skins or add-ons appear in the store, Riot also introduces changes to the gameplay itself – it strengthens or weakens heroes, as well as balances various items.
The purpose of such changes is of course to make the game fair and not to have too many “broken” pieces that stand out strongly from the rest. Nobody likes to play against characters who are just OP and because they are too strong they show up in every game.
Unfortunately, not always players support Riot’s decisions. So it was this time. Some people have argued that the recent Sunfire Cape nerfs were a mistake because that’s not the problem.
LoL champions damage
Some League of Legends players didn’t like the fact that Riot was bad at dealing with gameplay balance issues. According to fans, the developer nerfs individual items, rather than focusing on the problem of multiple champions whose skills are not balanced.
There’s a post on Reddit that not only touches on the subject of Sunfire Cape nerfs, but that LoL heroes just do too much damage and it’s the non-buildable items that make playing against them so annoying.
The problem is not Sunfire, just saying. The problem is that some champs have so much damage in their kits that they don’t need to build offensive stats to be able to instakill people.
If you built full tank and a demonic on Teemo, you would not do damage… at all.
Likewise, if you built full tank and a titanic on Jinx, you would do literally negative damage.
The problem is not sunfire, and nerfing its damage by TEN is definitely not goinna do anything. If you want to fix the problem (and, hint, Riot doesn’t), you have to nerf damage — no other way around it.
It doesn’t matter if items are all garbage if Shyv E has 400 damage at level 6 (which is damn near half of a lot of champs’ health bars), and Diana can one combo people with 0 AP at level 6 and on.
The author of the post stated that Riot tries to hide some gameplay issues through indirect solutions that are not good in the long run.
Many commenters agreed with the above statement, saying that playing against multiple champions is downright annoying – especially when it comes to champions who are both tanky and can deal massive damage.
