Everything you need to know about the end of the first split in the 2023 League of Legends season

What is Riot’s announcement about the first ranking split coming to an end?

The year 2023 is the first in which the ranking season has been divided into two splits. This means that the distribution of prizes, the reset of ranks and other things related to the end and the start of the new season will now look a little different. What should players interested in ranking games know about the changes introduced for this season?

The end of the first split

As before, it is necessary to have at least a second level of honor to receive any rewards.

Bycie honorowym popłaca, mówimy to z pełnym przekonaniem.

When we say it pays to be honorable, we mean it. You need to be at least Honor 2 to earn EoS rewards for Summoner’s Rift. Prior bans or chat restrictions will affect your eligibility, so just be sure to channel your inner Garen and fight with honor.

When will Riot start giving out rewards?

Information has also emerged about when rewards will start appearing in players’ accounts.

Ranked rewards will be delivered through the missions system again this year, and all you need to do is log in to get them! Pretty easy, right? We’ll start granting rewards with patch 13.14 on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 (PT), and all rewards should be distributed by the end of patch 13.15 on August 14. So don’t forget to log in during this period to get those sweet, sweet rewards!

In addition to the skin itself, Riot will also award chromas for each circle.

We’re awarding Victorious Anivia chromas for both queues, which share the same chromas for each rank. Players who earn the skin and place above Bronze will earn the preceding chromas, so any ranks you reach beyond Iron will unlock bonus chromas (meaning you get a chroma for each rank you hit beyond Iron! Keep climbing, we believe in you!)

There will also be no shortage of icons. These have been divided into those for solo/duo and flex queues.

There is a lot of information, but the end of the split will not really be significantly different from the end of the ranking season that players have become accustomed to in recent years.
