A new void hero is set to go to LoL, what is known about him?

A few days ago, Zeri appeared on the official League of Legends servers and is currently receiving mixed reviews. Some say she is really weak and ban her so as not to see her on their team, while others say she is broken and should be nerfed.

Still, others are thinking of a new character from the Void, one of Runeterra’s most mysterious “regions”. According to the announcement, they are to be jungler. What has he revealed to Riot players so far?

A jungler from the void

Developers announced four characters in 2022. The first one hit the official servers a few days ago and the second one will be a support from Zaun. A mysterious creature from the Void who was able to possess one of Riot’s employees is to appear as the third hero.

It happened in a developer video with plans for champions for 2022. It was there that Ryan Mireles, or Reav3, lost control of himself and through him, the new character spoke.

This brief piece of information shows that the Void invaders are not happy that they have not taken over the world yet, and may be trying to do so in 2022.

What do we know so far?

The first piece of information that we know and have confirmed is role. It was mentioned in the roadmap in September 2021. Back then, Riot described the character this way:

(…) as well as an overwhelming new jungler that should fill the void in your hearts.

The rest is a mystery. The developers have not yet revealed the new hero’s skills and class. But Reav3 said the hero was “rushing to get the Rift”. This could mean, for example, building your own army (like Malzahar’s voidlings).

While it is currently unclear when exactly the void will appear on Summoner’s Rift, we will definitely have to wait a little longer. According to the announcement, the next hero to be added to the game will be a support, and only then will it be the turn of the mysterious void creature.
