Another title copies from League of Legends? This time it’s about too much inspiration from the K/DA band

League of Legends

Another game developer drew too much from the characters from LoL. What was copied this time?

League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the world. The characters seen on Summoner’s Rift are just distinctive and well-known, so from time to time, smaller creators feel that they could steal some design ideas and promote their titles with them.

Of course, this often applies to really small games that virtually no one has heard of, but sometimes plagiarism goes too far and Riot has to take more serious steps. Probably many LoL fans have heard about situations in which too much “inspiration” ended in court.

Not only the heroes, their skills, map, modes, or skins are copied by little creators. It also happened that the music of the K/DA band was plagiarized by a Chinese car manufacturer.

Apparently, the team of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa have really loyal fans because again someone has chosen to steal Riot’s designs to promote their mobile game.

Another copy of League of Legends

While browsing mobile games, one of the players came across a title that he thought was suspiciously familiar. “Free Dance”, as that is the name of the game, is promoted with graphics with the heroine that strongly resembles K/DA ALL OUT Ahri from League of Legends.

The character’s outfit mixes various elements of the team’s characters’ costumes, and the hairstyle has been copied almost entirely from Ahri – especially when it comes to combining blonde with the characteristic pink ombre.

Was the LoL community surprised by this fact? Not necessarily. Players saw dozens of alterations and plagiarism. Of course, it couldn’t end without jokes like “why did someone cut off Ahri’s ears?” or “the makers of Free Dance must be huge K/DA fans.”
