Another Taliyah changes hit the LoL test servers. What was Riot improving this time?

League of Legends developers are constantly working on Taliyah’s fixes. What was changed this time?

Riot has been working on major changes to several characters for a while. These include, among others, Taliyah, whose situation on Summoner’s Rift did not necessarily satisfy the designers. The heroine is chosen mainly in the jungle and in the support position. When it comes to the mid lane, which she was created with in mind, she appears in only 15% of games.

Taliyah is also not very popular as her total pick rate does not exceed 2%. The creators of League of Legends decided to take a look at the heroine’s skill set and make it more attractive.

Initial changes have already been made to test servers that show what the new skillset will look like, but the developers are constantly introducing minor tweaks (A description of Taliyah’s rework in LoL scheduled for patch 12.9. The forgotten character will reappear in the meta?). What has Riot modified this time?

Further Taliyah fixes

With major champion changes coming to the PBE, Riot’s focus is on getting her skill set as balanced as possible when it finally gets rolled out to live servers.

This time the corrections affected all the basic skills of the heroine.

  • Threaded Volley (Q)
    • Bonus damage reduced from 35 to 30
  • Seismic Shove (W)
    • Now correctly reduces post-use lag
  • Unraveled Earth (E)
    • Slow power changed from 20% + 4% AP to 20% -28%

The changes are expected to hit live servers in update 12.9, the release of which is scheduled for May 11. The developers have a bit more freedom to make changes, as the patch on which the MSI Championship will be played was launched on April 27.

We will have to wait for a little over a week for the effects of Talityah changes. The heroine is likely to gain popularity, but the most important thing is to maintain it.
