Riot has prepared an interesting offer that has a lot to do with Xbox. Ultimately, it allows you to unlock characters from all Riot games.
For a long time, Riot is no longer a company with only one title – League of Legends. One of the most popular MOBA games has been joined by its mobile variant – Wild Rift, a card game – Legends of Runeterra or Teamfight Tactics and Valorant. In each of the games listed, you can choose characters or heroes, and it can take a long time to unlock them all.
Here comes the Xbox Game Pass, under which Riot’s games players will soon be able to use all characters available in each title. What is known about the studio’s cooperation with Microsoft at the moment?
What will players of LoL and other Riot’s games get using Xbox Game Pass?
Xbox Game Pass is a subscription that gives users access to a rotating catalog of games from various publishers. Its activation costs $ 14.99 per month, but the first three months are available for $ 1. And here lies the whole trick. You can unlock all characters for this amount of money. There are sure to be ways to extend this subscription in some way at this price.
League of Legends and Wild Rift players will be able to unlock all available Heroes. Valorant fans will have access to all agents. The Game Pass will unlock selected little legends for TFT and in the Legends of Runeterra Foundations Set.
JoeHixson – one of the studio employees – answered the most important questions about unlocking content.
You’ll still be able to unlock Champions/Little Legends/Cards/Agents in the normal ways while playing with an account linked to Game Pass. Everything earned from gameplay will then stay unlocked later if you let your subscription lapse. That’s part of the reason for the bonus experience that also comes with a linked account.
I’ve seen people comparing it to the Riot Unlocked model that’s used in PC Bangs and that’s very close to what we’re doing here.
And like our partnership with Amazon Prime, this will work by linking your existing Riot account to a Game Pass account.
