Hotfix for the 12.11 update in LoL. Buffs for Ryze and Kog’Maw, nerfs for Zeri and Olaf. Description of changes

League of Legends

Fixes from yesterday’s update 12.11. Riot decided to weaken and strengthen 2 characters.

Patch 12.11, launched on June 9, brought a lot of new changes to the game. They are intended to balance the big 12.10 update that changed League of Legends a lot.

Now, after only a dozen or so hours, an amendment has been made to as many as 4 characters. Two turned out to be too weak and two too strong. Interestingly, the changes do not apply to the newest character, Bel’Veth.

Patch 12.11 updated

It is rare for Riot Games to change their patches on the servers, and even if they do change something, it is for one champion. This time it turned out that 4 champions needed a quick patch. Including two ADCs, recently revamped Olaf, and hit bottom for Win Rate – Ryze.

It was decided that the buffs are needed for:

  • Kog’Maw
    • W: Maximum percentage of HP: 3-6% >>> 3.5-6.5%
  • Ryze
    • Q: Cooldown: 6 >>> 5
    • E: Damage: 60-160 (+0.35 AP) (+ 2% Mana) >>> 60-180 (+0.45 AP (+ 2% Mana)

However, when it comes to nerfs, they affected:

  • Zeri
    • Q: AD: 110-130% >>> 105-125%
    • P: max HP% damage: 3-15% (level 1-13) >>> 1-15% (level 1-18)
    • E: Cooldown: 22-16 >>> 24-18
  • Olaf
    • Q: Armor Reduction: 20-30% >>> 20%
    • W: Shield: 10-130 (+ 22.5% HP lost) >>> 10-130 (+ 17.5% HP lost)

Riot Games noted that overall aside from these four heroes, the rest are doing really well. However, in the next patch the list of fixes will probably also be large, but less “drastic”. Such large changes take time for everything to stabilize safely.
