Ashe is no longer considered an ADC. Why is she so much more popular in a different role at the moment?

League of Legends has really been surprising in recent weeks. Riot makes smaller and bigger changes almost all the time.

Riot is messing more and more with a lot of elements in LoL. Every day, either the Rioters write about the planned changes or they are just introduced. Update descriptions appear on the PBE every now and then, even today new changes have been revealed.

And no wonder, because LoL becomes more complicated, especially at the higher level of the game. For example, due to the cooldown on “R”, Ashe is now more popular as support than as ADC.

Ashe is now a support

Ashe practically becomes one of the key support heroes. She is much more often chosen for this role and it is not surprising, since you can lead to a situation in which this character has a cooldown of “R” under 30 seconds.

It is an ideal way to start a fight. Mostly people above the platinum and of course on the KR server know about it.

Is there anything strange about that? Probably not, but Riot will probably be on it in a moment as lower ranks are starting to notice it. The champion’s pickrate is higher in ranks above platinum, but it started to move in gold as well.

Ashe is still under the radar for now, but Riot surely sees what’s going on. So you can expect that sooner or later the character will be changed.
