After adding LoL on Tinder, the number of pairs drops almost to zero. New feature better not to add
Players laugh that after adding the “League of Legends” category on Tinder, their number of pairs has dropped to virtually zero.
League of Legends doesn’t have a good reputation among other players. The community of this most popular MOBA in the world is considered toxic and as it turns out, it affects everyday life and Tinder.
At least that’s what application users say when they laugh that it’s better not to show in their hobbies that they play Riot’s game.
A new category on Tinder
Tinder is the most popular dating app in the world. According to the data provided by the creators, it has paired people more than 30 billion times. That number, however, may now drop drastically with the addition of a new category – League of Legends – to the Interest tab.
The game community laughs that now people interested in them, upon seeing “League of Legends” quickly swiped left.
Although this is a joke, the fans of the League actually don’t have a good reputation. They are considered to be toxic and not able to control their emotions players. While playing, you can often meet with sexist and disgusting comments in matches. Especially if you have a female nickname.
However, these are single units across the community, but Riot is unable to effectively ban them. Of course, this is a serious problem for virtually every online game with chat available, but this patch most closely adhered to the LoL community. With that in mind, it’s hardly surprising that some people laugh at the idea of adding this interest to their profiles.
League of Legends is a good game as shown by the stats of active players. However, developers are still struggling with the rebellious community, which badly spoils the opinion and has already become a meme. Perhaps it will change in the future, but at the moment some people do not want to be associated with this production, and for others, playing LoL can be a “red flag” and a sign that you should omit such a person.
