A useful trick for Ryze from League of Legends. The hero is able to restore his mana thanks to the river

A trick that allows Ryze players to quickly restore mana without leaving the lane.

League of Legends is known, among other things, for the fact that the gameplay has a lot of bugs. Whole YouTube channels are based on problems with the game or interesting interactions, and some bugs even prevent you from playing LoL. This time it is about Ryze, who, despite having undergone many changes or a complete rework, is still largely based on mana. For this reason, when playing as this champion, you should bear in mind its consumption and make sure that it does not end at a crucial moment.

However, the community has managed to discover a certain interaction that allows the player to significantly improve the regeneration of this resource. What is an exploit found by fans?

How to quickly restore mana while playing with Ryze?

The newly discovered interaction is related to the recent fixes of the champion in question, which hit live servers in patch 12.5. The passive ability has been strengthened and the hero receives 10% of the maximum mana for every 100 AP. Mana regeneration is possible due to the fact that the passive skill does not convert ability power into the maximum, but also the current mana.

YouTuber by the name of Ryscu described the interaction in one of his videos.

Everything is possible thanks to the combination of two runes – Celerity and Waterwalking with the passive skill described above.

Waterwalking grants Ryze AP whenever he stands on the river. The ability power will be removed when the champion leaves it. The hero’s maximum mana is also increased for a short while, but the current resource value will be permanently increased.

As a result, the hero can recover mana extremely quickly by simply going in and out of the river. The trick can be used when the resource is exhausted and opponents would then like to use their advantage. The strategy is extremely effective in the mid-game when Ryze doesn’t have many items yet.

It’s also unclear whether this is an intended synergy or whether Riot will soon decide to eliminate it. Ryze is not doing very well at the moment – his win rate, despite the changes, does not exceed 46%. The designers will likely continue to look at the hero’s stats and work on further adjustments. It is also possible that the synergy will be eliminated.
