In this game, both teams decided to do an invade. What came out of it?
The new footage from League of Legends shows the start of the match. In there, something unusual is happening. Both teams plan an invade, so they sneak into the opposite jungle. They miss each other by accident and it might seem that, unfortunately, nothing will come of it, if not for some unexpected event.
Double invade and its consequences
The video uploaded by the user SlyFlyyy shows the very beginning of the match on Summoner’s Rift. You can see that both teams had the same idea – to ambush the enemy’s jungle. The blue team went to the blue buff area while the red team gathered around the red one.
If nothing special had happened at that time, both teams would probably have waited for their opponents for a while, and then gave up the invade and went on the line.
At one point, however, something unexpected happened. Viego from the red team walked past the enemy ambush (it is difficult to judge whether he did it on purpose, or perhaps he did not even notice that he was passing a group of opponents). They noticed a lonely target, so they started to follow it. They were not aware that they were going straight into the prepared trap.
After a while, unaware Vayne let herself get caught in Lux’s Q. Moments later, Irelia also died. The whole action ended in the death of as many as 4 players from the red team.
Commentators wondered what actually happened in the above video. Some people joked that Viego was probably afk and he let the character go to a random place, and completely accidentally led to the whole action. Others argued that everything was still planned during the selection of champions.
From the author’s note, you can find out that the game ended with the blue team’s defeat, and their Irelia finished the match with a score of 1/16/0.
