A new feature related to League of Legends has appeared on Discord. What amenities can players use?

What League of Legends-related function went to Discord?

Discord is one of the largest applications that allows you to communicate with people from all over the world. The platform has always been designed mainly with the players in mind. Considering that League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the world, you can guess that the application will somehow support fans of this production. An interesting improvement has been made to Discord that may be of interest to the LoL community.

How does Discord support LoL players?

Many League of Legends players choose to play with their friends. In this case, you have a voice communicator built into the game client or applications such as, for example, Discord.

The communicator has really developed a lot since its first days and regular updates have been introducing new features that supported individual titles known to players around the world. In the case of League of Legends, initially, you could see what game your friend is in, how long his match is already in progress, and what champion he chose.

A user with the nickname PixelHir shared screenshots that show another feature that he managed to discover.

Riot has quietly updated Discord’s integration with League, now allowing you to invite and join people through Discord. You can either invite someone by pressing the + button in chat (you need to be in lobby) or you can have people ask to join you through your profile.

The players commenting on the entry admitted that the function can be really useful when you want to invite someone who is not on your friends list. The option allows to skip the step of exchanging nicknames and the process of adding yourself to friends.

I often play in groups of 5 with a friend or two and we fill them with random people from the LFG servers. This feature is very helpful.

It is not known at the moment whether Riot will decide to further develop the connection between League of Legends and Discord. However, the introduced feature was warmly received by players, so the developers will probably decide to add more options.
