Leakers, digging through Fortnite’s files, informed players that Epic did something rather unusual. On the official website, Minecraft was mentioned for the first time in history.
This is certainly a big step, but at the moment it cannot be treated as an official announcement of cooperation.
Epic and Minecraft
All Fortnite players have come across or heard about the concept of Epic’s cooperation with Mojang (now Microsoft) at least once. However, nothing foreshadowed this. Now it changes a bit because Epic has openly mentioned Minecraft.
The shared document lists the differences between Fortnite and Minecraft in terms of education. Specifically for use in lessons.
So it is like a reference to Minecraft in the context that Fortnite can replace it to some extent, at least when learning. It is known that some teachers used Epic’s production for scientific purposes -quizzes in creative mode, for example.
