Twitch removed the streamer’s emoticon, deeming it too se*ual for the platform

One of Twitch’s streamers has lost its emoticon. Twitch decided it was too suggestive.

Twitch relatively rarely, but nevertheless sometimes removes various streamers’ emoticons. This usually happens when someone reports them. And so one popular streamer had to say goodbye to one of them.

The service decided that it was too suggestive. The emoticon depicts an image of the streamer herself moving her tongue. It’s hard to say why the emoticon was treated as a bad thing.

Twitch usually removes “drawn” emoticons, depicting the back parts of the body. Here we are dealing with something completely different. The streamer herself did not hide her considerable surprise.

The emote will not be restored, Twitch’s decision is final. Strange, but final. Probably one of the mods approached the matter too strictly, possibly noticing that the emoticon is used in some specific context.
