Twitch allows to write “I hate men”, and doesn’t “I hate women”
Yesterday, Twitch users accused the platform of double standards.
Twitch has faced problems regarding double standards many times in the past. Now people have discovered that chat moderation is not working as it should. This has a direct relationship with a specific phrase.
It’s hard to say if this is some sort of system glitch or if Twitch was just shielding itself from “I hate women”, but for some reason, they forgot that there were still men.
Double standards on Twitch?
An entry that drew attention to this issue has achieved absurd popularity. Probably no one thought it would become such a big deal. Twitch itself has not addressed this issue and is unlikely to do so. The platform will simply change it.
There were many jokes about the topic, but there were people who did feel hurt. According to them, this is a simple way to discriminate.
A very difficult topic for Twitch, but it is difficult to blame the entire platform here. It’s probably somebody’s oversight. Well, unless TTV did it on purpose, then it’s a completely different matter.
