A very weird thing happened on Twitch. One girl was banned for her nickname, but this is really just the beginning.
It is well known that Twitch is a huge company, subordinate to the even bigger Amazon. There are many departments that, in theory, don’t necessarily even pay attention to each other. However, the ban for the streamer that Twitch cited as an example is quite amusing.

Fish had been using the same nickname for years. Twitch had no problem showing her, promoting her, and highlighting her. Until the day came when the platform decided that “yourmotherisafish” was against the rules.
The ban is permanent, however, with the possibility to appeal and potentially change the nickname. It is already known that the service has acknowledged its fault and apologized for what turned out to be a wrong decision.
There have been situations in the past when Twitch apologized, only to ban again later for the same reason. Just for the sake of different departments, different localizations, and different languages.
