End of the 280-character limit on Twitter. TwitLonger can say goodbye because Notes are entering in its place

Entertaining

Years later, Twitter came to the conclusion that it might be worth enabling people to create messages that are longer than 290 characters.

Until now, everyone who wanted to share something longer than 280 characters with the world had to go to a separate tool, called “TwitLonger”. This is where huge statements and explanations were posted, it was there that all the dramas took place.

Now it looks like “TwitLonger” may cease to exist. All thanks to a special new Twitter solution that writes “A new way to write more on Twitter”. What is it and how does it work?

Twitter Notes

New information will appear below the notes:

This is a published Note, a new may to write beyond 280 characters on Twitter.

At the moment, Twitter is testing everything, but you can see that it will just be TwitLonger built into Twitter. The new feature is currently in testing, but it’s already working and looking really good. On the left side of the menu, there will be a new tab called “Notes”.

There you will be able to write much longer content than up to 280 characters. However, it is not known whether any limit will apply there. The first note was of course published by Twitter itself:

In the note, you can insert videos, messages, edit after publication. It all makes sense. Unfortunately, currently only people living in specific countries will benefit from this. It will be tested for 2 months, and then it will go to everyone.
