Discord, according to unofficial information, will introduce another feature, which will be behind the “paywall” in the form of Nitro.
Discord is introducing more and more things to pay for. However, it is understandable, the platform wants basic communication to remain free, while all “goodies” should be paid for.
Is this a good move? Everyone has their own view on this. For people who only use Discord for communication, it won’t be a terrible blow that they won’t be able to use emotes sent during a conversation.
What is Discord working on?
As Reddit user “H4ckerxx44” shows, Discord will introduce emojis that can be sent during calls. It’s not something that changes the platform amazingly, but emojis will definitely be a nice addition.
These effects can only be used with Nitro – so not everyone will get this option.
It is not known when it will be officially introduced, currently it is most likely in the early stage of development.
