Discord introduces another “brilliant change” that has pissed off masses of people

It’s not a meme, although it looks like one. Discord made global changes that affected many friend-group servers.

Discord decided to make users happy again with more changes. While the platform generally has a very good reputation, recent decisions have not been among the best received. This time DC “took care” of smaller servers.

It was determined that it was worthwhile for everyone on the server to be able to create custom emojis, sounds, stickers, and events. So the general permissions of many people were updated – supposedly due to requests from users themselves.

Who was affected by this?

The effect of this is that spam started. Fortunately, this applies to servers with a certain number of people, namely up to 50. In this case, it is easy to embrace unruly people, because usually, however, these are small communities.

If your server has not yet been affected by this change, this will probably change soon. People on Discord are not too happy with the news, and it’s hardly surprising.

The general opinion about this is rather negative, but fortunately, this only applies to small servers. It would be a problem if Discord changed it to, say, 500 people, but for the time being there is no sign of that.
