Discord has been testing this feature since 2021, and now it has been officially released for everyone.
Nicknames is something that many people have been waiting for. It had been tested for many months, and we first heard about it around April 2021. The experiments ended successfully and today everyone can use it.
Of course, not everyone can see it, but there is a simple way to do it. In the computer version, just use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + R”. Discord will internally restart and you will see the update.
Nicknames on Discord
To add a nickname to someone, select them from your friends list and use PPM on their nickname (right mouse button).
After clicking, a completely new window will appear, where you can give a nickname. It will be visible only to you.
Finally, you can use any of your friends’ account names. Until now, this was impossible or at least difficult.
