Discord in its latest update introduced emoji, which many people have been waiting for.
Emoji are not the most important thing in the world, but definitely masses of people use them. Of course, on Discord, most use GIFs of various kinds, but emoji are also often in use. In the latest update, new ones, known at least from Twitter, were finally introduced.
Of course, it was not without controversy. Among the emoji introduced were, for example, those depicting a pregnant man. Classically, this caused quite a discussion – twinned with the one that took place on other platforms.
New emoji on Discord
There aren’t that many new emojis, but these few were enough. The first ones, of course, were eagerly awaited, the others, well… not necessarily.
More emojis are probably on the way, but it’s hard to say when something will move on this topic. The worst ones have already been introduced, so major controversies are unlikely to be present.
You can see that the topic is generating a lot of excitement even on Reddit, where the original thread was blocked by moderation.
