Some may already use a new type of Nitro called “Basic”, which is simply the basic version.
Nitro is constantly evolving, and so is Discord itself. Currently, some payers for Nitro Classic may activate the “Basic” version. This one is slightly different from the classic one, but is still relatively cheap.
Unfortunately, it is not known when this option will reach more people. At the moment, it is being tested with a small group of users, potentially even just a few thousand. Discord wants to see if people will be interested in such an offer.
A new type of Nitro on Discord
Nitro prices vary depending on the region, so you should not take the current US prices as certain, but at the moment Nitro Basic costs 2.99 USD. So it is a bit more expensive than the classic one.
This Nitro doesn’t give you an amazing amount of features, but it allows you to use emotes from other servers and the animated ones – that’s supposed to be the main feature.
Discord will likely introduce more types of Nitro and break down all the features so that people can choose what they want to pay for.
