Cyberpunk, although it is getting better and better game, its overall story can be fun.
From patch to patch, Cyberpunk is getting better and better, at least in terms of the number of bugs. There is still not much new content, but CDPR is known to be working hard on it. The game can bounce back and it slowly does.
However, this does not change the fact that overall Cyberpunk 2077 had a huge bloop on its premiere and a few months after it. Before its release, it was considered a breakthrough game, let us remind you that Cyberpunk received over 200 awards even before its premiere.
When others wrote about the game, we couldn’t believe what the game really looks like. A year has passed since those events.
More than 200 awards before the premiere, after that – 0
Yesterday, the most important plebiscite in the gaming industry took place – The Game Awards. The best games and people in the industry are selected at TGA. Cyberpunk was nominated in two categories:
- “Best role playing”,
- “Best score and music”.
CDPR production did not win in any of these categories. The first prize was Tales of Arise, and the second was Nier Replicant.
Cyberpunk is perhaps the only case in which more than 200 games before the premiere did not translate into prizes after it. Cyberpunk was much more eagerly anticipated, so the disappointment was greater.
