CDPR: “In case you were wondering why there is only one expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.”

One might guess that Cyberpunk 2077 could have more than one DLC. However, there is a reason why CDPR might have changed its mind.

Cyberpunk 2077 will only get one add-on. From CDPR’s statement, it seems that it could have gotten more in total, but the developers prefer to focus on a new project. That new project is, of course, a new game in the Cyberpunk series.

The code name is “Orion,” but everyone says Cyberpunk 2 anyway, which is the reason why Cyberpunk 2077 won’t get more DLC. Some will be happy, others will be saddened, after all, you will have to wait a few years for news in that case.

CDPR confirms this themselves

Surely the next Cyberpunk will be more polished, and less buggy. After all, it is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, which already automatically means fewer bugs.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a vibe to it that will be hard to replicate, but the game still isn’t perfect, so gamers agree that it can and is a good direction to end development of 2077 and move on to something new.
