The new CSGO update removes some maps and adds new ones. What else has changed?

A new update has been introduced to CS: GO, which is much more interesting than the previous one.


The update primarily changes the map pool. It is also worth mentioning that Operation Riptide has ended, so if you haven’t used the stars yet, it’s worth doing so. Although there is no great rush, the time is until March 27.

Developers note that all modes introduced during the operation will remain available and nothing will change here.

Map changes

A total of 5 maps were withdrawn from the map pool, while 6 new ones were added instead. More specific:

  • Basalt, Insertion II, Ravine, Extraction, and County have been removed from their corresponding map pools
  • Iris and Climb have been added to the modes:
    • Casual
    • Competitive
    • Deathmatch
  • Crate and Hive were added in Wingman mode
  • Vineyard and Ember have been added to the Danger Zone mode
