He was kicked out of a CSGO match during the official broadcast for being drunk. The first such case

This is probably the first time a professional player has been kicked out of a game and replaced because of intoxication.

Strange things have already happened in the esports world, but this is probably the first time that has happened. During one of the official ESL Challenger League matches that were broadcast on the official ESL profile (Strife vs MIBR), one player was completely removed from the game.

All because of the suspicion that he is under the influence of alcohol. The whole situation was and is quite strange because today some players comment that the conversations during the match were just jokes. But the organization decided to take the player out for the rest of the season.

Thrown out for being drunk

During the match, the players were supposed to pay attention to strange decisions that were made by “cxzi” – he disconnected from the team, ran in a different direction, did not do what he was supposed to, or was absent. According to what the website “dust2.us” writes, the editors received recordings confirming the slurred speech of a professional player.

In the middle of the match, a decision was made to withdraw the suspiciously behaving player from the match. However, you won’t see any staggering or strange action here, because the whole happened on a private Ts3, and the clips from the match alone don’t prove anything.

The match was interrupted and the player was replaced. Only later did it become clear that the players suspected that “cxzi” was under the influence of alcohol. It is turned into a joke on Reddit and on social media, but the organization did not change its decision – the player was removed from the squad because of 5 drinks.

So, in the end, at one of the professional levels of the tournament, there was a situation in which someone appeared at the match potentially drunk. This was not confirmed, while the player himself would later comment that he had actually drunk alcohol before, but was completely sober during the match.
