Big update coming to CSGO? Developers have been actively testing something for several days

Counter Strike

It is very likely that a large and significant update will come to CS: GO in the days to come. This is indicated by the activity of Valve developers.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community has already got used to the fact that developers test their FPS usually when something big is being prepared.

It is no different in this case, as players have noticed that developers have been working on something for the last few days. Perhaps this is another insignificant update, or maybe something more important will actually appear.

Since when have developers been testing CS: GO?

In the screenshot below, you can see the increased activity of Counter-Strike developers in recent days. On February 4, there were as many as four developers in the test version of CS, while yesterday evening and tonight the number fluctuated between two and three.

Very often it was a sign of an upcoming update that was more important than all the others. Operation Riptide ended quite recently, so it can be assumed that Valve is not planning another one. Some players suggest that the developers are testing CS: GO on Steam Deck:

At the moment it is difficult to say what the developers are planning. It is possible that a new update will appear in the next few days, but it may as well be that we will not see the effects of the developers’ work in a few weeks or months. Valve has already taught their community that they are just unpredictable.
