A magazine on the CSGO map that asks: Can Source 2 solve the climate crisis?
All CS: GO players will surely know that the topic of Valve’s transition to a new engine is still alive.
CS was about to switch to Source 2 several times, but there was always something that was getting in the way of developers. It has come to the point that not only the players are laughing at the whole situation, but also the map makers who work with Valve.
For example, the Pitsop map contains not only references to other maps, but also to the Source 2 engine. One of the magazines lying on the table asks whether Source 2 can fix the climate crisis.
Easter Egg with Source 2
CS: GO players have gotten used to the mass of easter eggs, especially in community maps. Pitstop is full of all sorts of non-obvious references. Here, however, there is no doubt that the developers have decided to make a joke out of Valve, Source 2, and that the new engine according to the community will fix all possible problems that CS is facing.
Of course, Source 2 won’t be able to do that, but it would definitely make creating maps, new features, and mechanics easier for many. CS: GO could certainly be pushed towards this new and seemingly distant reality, the one with more frequent updates.
