A big drama broke loose on Twitter. Players criticize Cloud9 and Valve for the fact that CS: GO has stickers with a very clearly visible “Z”.

A few days ago, Virtus.Pro was kicked out of the DOTA2 tournament because one of the players drew the letter “z” on the minimap during the break. Now the controversy has shifted to CS: GO, thanks to stickers.

Stickers with “Z” in CS: GO

The whole thing is about Cloud9. The players of this organization are from Russia.

The case is so controversial that in the previous year the stickers did not have the visible letter “z”.

It should be added, however, that it may be an emphasis, a typically graphic accent without any sense or meaning. Something like this had appeared before when there was no mention of the letter “z” as something offensive.

Some write that the team should be disqualified, others comment that esports is not politics and that these worlds should not be linked with each other.
