Everything that is known so far about upcoming news for Valorant.
A few days ago, Episode 4 of Act 2 began in Valorant. The creators clearly let the community know that there will be nothing spectacular in it and they want a break from new agents and maps.
Accordingly, the new content should appear in the next act. This applies not only to a new agent that players already have some theories about, as well as maps, about which plans may have already been shown. What has been established so far?
Episode 4, Act 2
The ongoing Act 2 in Valorant is not rich in new content. Players have received a new pass, a few skins, and a large Yoru makeover. In addition, the Icebox map has been slightly changed and the controllers have been reworked. In this act, the developers want to focus on remaking the existing content and not on introducing new one, which has been officially emphasized.
Earlier this year we announced that Episode 4 Act II was going to be all about taking a breather on the new Agent and map side of things to take a look around and strengthen areas that were in need of some extra support. This includes the long anticipated Yoru rework, a clearer definition of our Controller Agents, and your usual patch updates.
Episode 4, Act 3
Due to the fact that in the current act there will be “so little” going on, there is a good chance that in act 3 there will be more new content. Including a new map and an agent. However, this information has not been officially confirmed (apart from the new agent). What do we know so far?
The last act before Episode 5 is scheduled for April 26, 2022. This date, although not provided by Riot, is confirmed by the end date of the current pass, and it is related to the current “tradition”.
After seeing a new music video from Riot Korea starring Jett – Can’t Slow Me Down in the community, gamers quickly speculated about the new character. All this because of a few shots with “Vicotria Vector” appearing in it.
This rumor was resolved by Rioter, who confirmed that she would not be the 19th agent. Therefore, nothing is known about the upcoming character yet. However, it’s just a matter of time and the first teasers should appear soon.
New map
In act 2 of episode 3, the Fracture map appeared. Now there is a chance that the new one will be made available to players in the coming season as well. At the moment, however, knowledge about it is limited. So far, its little trailer has appeared in one of the emails from Riot in October 2021.
It speaks of a “city-wide geodome” and this is currently the only official clue. There is also a small project with the caption “Raze”, but this one is only a theory.
