The first tests for The Sims 5 begin today, and testers of the game got a special email

The Sims 5 as the next generation of the title is now officially confirmed, and now the first tests are starting.


On October 18, 2022, with the change of The Sims 4 to a completely free model and the organization of a special Behind The Sims Summit event, the gaming world learned that developers are working on the next, fifth version of The Sims game. This caused the Internet to almost explode from the excitement of gamers from all over the world.

At a specially organized livestream, the first concepts, graphics, and ideas for the next-generation game were shown, and it must be said that The Sims 5 seems to be extremely promising. The developers promised that they would try to show more already in the new year, but today we already know that the first playtests of the game are about to begin.

The first groups of testers are already getting access to the new generation of The Sims

The Sims Community decided to announce everything, piecing all the information together. Thanks to this, we know that already on October 25, which is this Tuesday, the first groups of testers will get access to The Sims 5 called Project Rene, Insider Gaming reported.

Sims 5 playtests will started October 25th, sources have confirmed. Several people have sent emails and images that show that Sims 5, currently known as Project Rene will start playtesting next week, starting October 25th.

What’s more, Insider Gaming also provided the official email that testers received, which contains some interesting information:

  • The tool for modifying objects is called “Workshop.”
  • Apartments are coming to The Sims 5.
  • Testers can already download and share their creations.
