Have you ever thought about playing The Sims 4 on your iPad or phone? Now there is a way to do it

The Sims 4 community has found a way to enable its Sims on a touchscreen mobile device. How is that possible?

The Sims 4 is a game that only works on desktop computers. Of course, there are also console-type versions, while it has never yet been the case that the developers have decided to make the game available on mobile. To date, there has only been The Sims Mobile, which is based on The Sims, but very limited and for many simply not worthwhile.

With help, of course, comes a community that loves to experiment with The Sims. One player decided to share on Twitter his way to connect the Four to his iPad. What’s more, the way can also be used on a phone or other tablet.

How do you turn on The Sims 4 on your iPad?

DreamBee is the nickname of a certain Simmer who loves to create Sims and custom content and shares her work on many social media outlets such as Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. She is a frequent contributor to her Twitter feed, and it was there that she decided to create a tutorial that was probably dreamed of by many other Simmers who once wanted to bring their Sims to a smaller screen.

In several tweets, the gamer shared her way to connect The Sims 4 to her iPad or other portable devices. The only limitation is that the way can only be used by people who have access to a Windows computer or laptop.

Okay so firstly you NEED a Windows pc as the software I use isn’t compatible with Macbook. You’ll also need your other device and pc connected to the same wifi network. After assuring you have this you can begin!

So you’ll need to download “spacedesk” on both your pc and Ipad. Make sure you get the correct version for your pc or it might not work.

After downloading both of these things you will then pull the space desk application on both pc and ipad and you should see this:

You should notice that like in the picture above my Ipad is showing my desktop. You’re gonna tap on that and bam you now have a second monitor!

So to fully get mine to function I had to set my ipad as my main monitor when it’s hooked up. You do this by right clicking on your pcs desktop and you’ll see “display settings” pop up. All alterations to the screen you’ll need you can do through there.

Now in terms of controls you can use your finger or apple pencil to play the sims, however that mostly works through CAS. You can still use your desktop mouse and keyboard though so I assume you could use wireless ones in bed if you want.

Of course, such a solution is not ideal. The author of the tutorial points out that the Sims, however, will not run perfectly on such a device, and the touch works mainly only during Sim Creation Mode, then it is better to switch to the mouse and keyboard.

Still, such an idea will work great for people who do not like to sit with their laptop in bed but would like to play the Sims on a smaller screen. Note that this is not an official tutorial, and the author points out that she is not an IT expert, but she will try to help anyone if they have problems.
