The creators announced a new event that will start today. What attractions will go to the game?
Today, a new event will start in Pokemon GO, which will be the second event this year. The celebration of 2022 ended on January 4, so it’s time for something a little different.
The developers announced that a new Mega Evolution will be added to the game, and it will be Mega Aerodactyl. In addition, the new event will largely focus on interacting with buddies. Part of the tasks is related to them, and thanks to the temporary bonus, winning hearts from a friendly Pokemon will be easier.
What else will be in the game with the arrival of Mountains of Power?

The event will start on Friday, January 7, 2022, and will run until Thursday, January 13, 2022. On this occasion, the following attractions are planned:
- The buddy bonus will be active in the game. The distance needed to get a heart from a friendly Pokemon will be reduced by half.
- The event Timed Research will appear (list of tasks below).
- The following Pokemon will appear in the wild (each will also be available in shiny version): Zubat, Machop, Geodude, Slugma, Nosepass, and Barboach. Anyone lucky will run into Onix and Ferroseed.
- From Field Research tasks you will be able to get event creatures: Alolan Geodude and Slugma. Anyone who is lucky will go to Mawile.
- The opponents of the event will appear in raids:
- 1-star raids: Alolan Geodude, Onix, Beldum and Bronzor,
- 3-star raids: Ursaring, Donphan, Medicham and Absol,
- 5-star raids: Heatran
- Mega Raid: Mega Aerodactyl
