Today a new event called Power Plant has started. What is worth knowing about the newest creature that appeared in the game?

The new creature – Helioptile – is very interesting and unique in several ways. It is worth taking a look at it and learning some interesting facts about it.

Helioptile in Pokemon GO

On the occasion of the new event in Pokemon GO, a new creature has been added to the game – Helioptile. This is an Electric and Normal type Pokemon introduced in Generation VI.

Helioptile is a two-legged Lizard-like Pokemon. It is probably based on the Collared Agama. He has long ears on his head, which can be folded into a characteristic collar. This one works just like solar panels. Thanks to this, the creature can create its own electricity, which is the source of its electric attacks and develops without food.

No other Pokemon shares the same type combination as Helioptile and its evolved form. Additionally, it is the only non-grass creature that evolves through the use of Sun Stone.

Helioptile is a combination of the words helios (ancient Greek – sun), heliophile (an organism attracted by a large amount of sunlight), and reptile.

Due to its types, the creature is vulnerable to fight and ground attacks (160%) and resistant to flying, steel, electric (63%), and ghost (39%) attacks.

  • Catch 5 Electric Pokémon: Electrike, Joltik, or Helioptile.
  • Walk 1 kilometer: Helioptile.
  • Walk 4 kilometers: Emolga.
  • Make 3 Curved Throws: Magnemite or Voltorb.
  • Walk 2 kilometers: Alolan Grimer or Trubbish.
  • Take a picture of a wild electric creature: 25 x Mega Ampharos Candy or 25 x Mega Manectric Candy.
