Pokemon GO developers have revealed who will be the protagonist of the classic Community Day in July.
The developers of the game have announced another classic Community Day, which this time will take place in the first half of July. It will be associated with a well-known and even iconic creature, one of the first-generation starters that thousands of fans of the Pokemon series grew up on.
It is about Squirtle, an aquatic turtle from the Kanto region. The upcoming Community Day will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

In celebration of July’s classic Community Day, the following activities are planned:
- Squirtle will appear more often in the wild. Anyone who is lucky will get a shiny version.
- Evolving Wartortle (Squirtle’s evolution) during the event or up to two hours after the event will give Blastoise a knowledgeable Hydro Cannon charged attack.
- An event Field Research dedicated to Squirtle will be available. The Pokemon will appear in it in a version with sunglasses.
- There will be an event Special Research available.
- The following bonuses will be active during the event:

- 1/4 egg hatching distance when eggs are placed in the incubator during the event.
- Lure Module activated during the event will be active for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will run for three hours.
- Taking pictures during the classic Community Day will give some surprises.
