The announcement of April’s Community Day in Pokemon GO. All that is known about it

Pokemon GO developers have revealed who will be the protagonists of Community Day in April.

March’s Community Day is barely over (you can read more about the event and your impressions of it in a separate article – How did Pokemon GO players celebrate the recent Community Day? Fans love Slowpoke), and Pokemon GO developers have already announced another event of this type.

Who will be the protagonist of April’s Community Day? When will this event take place and what bonuses will it provide?

Togetic Community Day in Pokemon GO

The upcoming Community Day will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The following activities will be held on this occasion:

  • Togetic will appear more often in the wild. Anyone who is lucky will get the shiny version.
  • Evolving Togetic during the event or up to five hours after the event will give Togekiss who knows Aura Sphere charged attack.
  • Event-related Special Research will be available.
  • There will also be event-related tasks like Timed Research and Field Research.
  • The following bonuses will be active during the event:
    • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
    • 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event period.
    • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
    • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
    • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
    • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
    • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
    • Togepi has a chance of hatching from 2 km Eggs obtained during the April Community Day hours.
      • Togepi that hatch from these Eggs will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as Togetic that appear during April Community Day’s three-hour event period.

Bonus raids after the Community Day event

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on unique four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Togetic to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!

4-star raids

Togetic will appear in 4-star raids.

Raid Passes or Premium Raid Passes are required to participate in these raids. Remote Raid Passes will not be accepted.

Bonus for completing 4-star raids

Once you successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Togetic, additional Togetic will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
