Blizzard updated its website, sparking rumors of Overwatch 2. It was quickly pulled back

Yesterday, Overwatch players once again hoped for any announcements regarding Overwatch 2 and experienced a slight disappointment.

Yesterday there were announcements regarding the Overwatch League. It is known that the second part of Overwatch is closely related to the OWL, so players waited for possible news and additional information.

Since we mention the dissapointment, you can guess that there were no big announcements. At least not in terms of Overwatch 2. Players learned that the OWL starts on May 5, 2022. Additionally, you can expect skins closely related to esports.

Blizzard is updating its website

Yesterday, Blizzard also updated its official website and added Overwatch 2 to the upcoming games section. Does it change anything? In theory, you can look for a hidden meaning here, but in practice everyone knows that OW2 is coming.

The biggest information related to the new UI of the website is the lack of the Nintendo Switch icon next to OW2.

Of course, this was caught by the community. There was a theory that Overwatch 2 will not appear on the Switch. However, these are very far-reaching conclusions and may not necessarily be truthful. Blizzard may want to release OW2 on Nintendo at a later date or after the premiere on other platforms – someone also might not have added the icon just because of an oversight.

However, the scenario that assumes the lack of Overwatch 2 on the Switch cannot be ruled out, but the lack of an icon is not a strong basis for drawing far-fetched conclusions.

Therefore, no changes in the subject of Overwatch 2. We still have to wait, read between the lines, and analyze leaks, both those more meaningful and those completely detached from reality.
