His information should therefore be treated as speculation and nothing more. The news about beta in the next 3 weeks is not true, or at least not to be taken for granted.
However, something new appeared
In recent days, it has been written many times that there is a new version of Overwatch somewhere in the Battle.net files:
However, yesterday the Polish Overwatch YouTuber Teko noticed on his Discord that a new version has appeared with the standard and always present “Overwatch Demo”. It normally looked like this:

The launch date for Overwatch Demo 2 is January 26, 2022. So it’s possible that it’s somehow related to the upcoming Overwatch 2. The most likely versions are:
- This is Overwatch 2 prepared for professional players under OWL, which, according to earlier information from a few months ago, is to be played on an early version of OW2,
- This is an alpha/beta of Overwatch 2 that will be available to everyone
Both of these scenarios are likely. According to unconfirmed information, OWL teams still do not have access to OW2 and must use special modes in the workshop that mirror Overwatch 2.
