Will the new Mythic Essence be available for purchase with BE? Riot responds
The creators commented on how to obtain the latest currency from LoL – Mythical Essence.
As is well known, a new currency will soon be added to League of Legends, and prestigious skins will be rebuilt. Riot has decided to remove Prestige Points and replace them with Mythic Essence, for which you will also be able to buy hextech skins that used to cost 10 Gemstones.
Changes to the Prestige skin system and the introduction of a new mythical store will appear on the servers in the next update, patch 12.6, which is scheduled for March 30, 2022.
The Essence Emporium and the new currency
There are several ways to obtain Gems in League of Legends. A lot of people get them from passes because there are missions in which the reward is the Gemstone. The lucky ones can get the Gem after opening the chest in the Hextech Workshop. The chance is not big, but many players have collected a considerable amount of these valuable stones this way.
After announcing that Mythic Essence will be in the game, Riot has confirmed that Gemstones will be removed, and missions, where they used to be obtainable, will now reward 10 ME. Those who saved the Gems will receive another 10 ME for each of them.
Players began to wonder what would happen to the offers from the Essence Emporium. There, you could buy the Gem with the icon for the following amount of BE:
- 50,000 BE – Gemstone + Gemstone Knight Icon
- 75 000 BE — Gemstone + Gemstone Prince Icon
- 100 000 BE — Gemstone + Gemstone KingIcon
One player asked if there would be an offer with Mythic Essence after the changes to the Essence Emporium.
With the mythic content overhaul, will you still be able to buy ME for blue essence at the blue essence emporium?
The question was answered by one of Riot’s employees – Ken Adams. The answer was very short, but it confirmed that ME will appear in the Essence Emporium (as long as the dev plans do not change before the content rebuild).
