Why do LoL’s Ashe players feel that using her as a support has ruined their favorite heroine

Ashe lovers again complain that the character is played more on support than on ADC.

Ashe is one of the oldest and most recognizable League of Legends heroes. Today, practically everyone has her, because she is very cheap (450 BE), but you can also understand her skills relatively quickly (it does not mean, however, that you use its full potential quickly).

Although many shooters with often bizarre and complex mechanics have joined League of Legends over the years, many people prefer old heroes and they are the ones who give them the most fun.

Ashe’s fans are a bit irritated by the fact that the character is more and more often taken as a support. Nowadays, hardly anyone plays it as the classic ADC on ARAM. Heroine lovers would like Riot to do something about it. Should the creators balance her so that playing her as a support is not profitable?

Problem with Ashe on support

Some time ago, the topic of Ashe appearing in a support role returned to Reddit. One of the fans proposed a few balance changes that could make playing her as ADC more interesting and simply more profitable (see: Ashe players do not want their character to be a support. How, in their opinion, the heroine’s condition can be improved?).

The subject came back again. This time it was started by a player named Tinderfallin39. In the post he wrote:

Ashe Support ruined Ashe. I’m a Ashe ADC player and it’s just so annoying to see me, the ADC, get recommended only support items when I want to carry as Ashe.

Ashe ADC isn’t bad at all, it’s really good since it provides her all the tools an immobile ADC wants.

A passive that slows enemies, making kiting extremely easy and forgiving, also makes running away easier. Extra attack speed. Some poke. Free vision. And an extremely versatile stun.

It’s kind of discouraging to see how much Ashe support is being encouraged, when I know how much better Ashe is as an ADC.

Many commenters who don’t play or like Ashe don’t quite understand the author’s problem. It has been repeatedly stated that what the game recommends does not change anything because it is the player who decides which items to choose.

However, fans of the heroine point out that it is not about the mere fact of recommended items. Ashe lovers would like their favorite character to be taken seriously and on an equal footing with other shooters. At the moment, they feel that many people only think of her as an annoying heroine who is only good for spamming W.
