Ashe as a support is becoming more and more popular. The fans of the heroine do not necessarily like it.
The community has pointed out that recommended items on Ashe are not items for marksmen, but items for support characters. No one will be surprised by the fact that the heroine on ARAM is played practically always on the same build, which focuses on pressing W and using her ult.
This condition of the heroine does not necessarily appeal to fans who love her as a shooter, which she is supposed to be. What can be done to make a character become ADC again? One of the fans has a suggestion.
No more Ashe on support?
One Reddit user created a thread in which he talks about Ashe and how many people treat her more as a support than a shooter. Many fans of the heroine do not like this state of affairs and believe that the current Ashe is quite bland and does not stand out from other ADCs.
Ashe’s recommended items are no longer ADC items.
This might seem like a completely miniscule thing, but it is a reflection of Ashe’s underwhelming state compared to both her hyper-carry peers, as well as the surge of Ashe Support popularity.
I don’t think Ashe ADC is weak. Rather, I think she is average-mediocre at best. There is no reason to pick her as ADC save for her utility. She is outclassed by other hyper-carry Crit marksmen, which I imagine is why we have been seeing a massive surge of Ashe Support.
So what’s the solution?
As an Ashe main, I would like to see her W nerfed. It is too volatile of an ability. Yes, it is her signature bread-and-butter ability, but if a champion is balanced around one single ability, then it feels rough (see Gwen).
As for a buff, I would like to see her Q buffed. Her Q incentivises kiting and her traditional DPS marksman identity. For me personally, I play Ashe because kiting efficiently feels so rewarding.
Seeing a bruiser or juggernaut trying their absolute hardest to get on top of me while I freeze their ankles is the pinnacle dream for an Ashe main.
I’m not good with ability numbers, so I have no suggestion, but I would like to see Support Ashe nerfed into the dirt and ADC Ashe be buffed.
Many players supported the ideas cited above. The topic of annoying Ashe built for reducing cooldown has come back more than once, and the community really wanted Riot to do something about it. In addition, many people say that playing Ashe support is simply boring and they would rather play with a typical ADC, but unfortunately, other characters are stronger and it is more profitable to play them.
Of course, there are exceptions, so there are people who are happy with the current state of Ashe and even love to build her for Imperial Mandate or a typical AP build. These players certainly wouldn’t want Riot to nerf her character conversion rates or change her W cooldown.
