Why are there so many Challengers on your LoL friends list? People set their own ranks

It all started with a Spanish streamer who was doing another LoL challenge. In the end, it did not work out, so he set himself a high rank by himself. People caught it and found out how to do it.

Sometimes in LoL, people remember something after many years. It’s exactly the same as setting your own rank. You may remember people suddenly creating custom descriptions in LoL – history repeats itself in a way. Now, it happened thanks to the streamer who did a little joke, the clip turned viral.

However, instead of descriptions, players change ranks. It’s so simple that some fool their friends – yes, your rank is visible to your friends list.

How do people do it?

It is a special tool called “League profile tool”. However, there are a few things you need to know about it (more on that below). In any case, it still works, despite the fact that it hasn’t been updated for months.

@Ryscu

It’s all about the program that changes the backgrounds, available icons in the client and, among other things, the rank. You and people on your friends list can see the effects of the changes.

What do you need to know about it? First, it’s a tool that hasn’t been updated for several months. So many things don’t work anymore. What still works is the change of rank and icon. You can also set long descriptions for yourself, but here is a note – sometimes it gets buggy and you won’t be able to see your friends list afterwards. The only way to fix this is to ask Riot for help.

And here’s the problem. There is no confirmed case of getting banned for this, but you can be banned. In theory, Riot has helped in cases where someone has bugged the client, but will not necessarily continue to do so.

So using this is not recommended for the main account – changes are assigned to the account, not the client. It is also worth knowing that these icons and ranks disappear when you close the client, so you have to set it up again.
