What do Riot game players get for activating two-step verification on their accounts?

Developers encourage additional account security. What can you get for adding your phone number?

Two-factor verification is a form of Riot account security that keeps your account from getting into the wrong hands. Not only are players’ accounts more secure, but the inclusion of 2-fa gives them additional options. One of them is playing in the Clash tournament in League of Legends, which is only possible if a phone number has been added to the account.

Riot reports that at the moment 5 million players are protecting their accounts with the additional authentication step. To reward them and encourage the rest of the gaming community, they decided to offer special rewards in the most popular productions. What exactly can you get?

Rewards for two-step verification

In a short post, the developers shared information with the community about additional account security. How do Rioters encourage fans to set up an additional verification step?

Earlier this year we launched two-factor authentication (2FA) to help keep your Riot account safe, and over 5 million players have taken this step to protect their account. We’d like to extend a fist bump to all of those who’ve enabled it by giving them some exclusive in-game rewards. Anyone who enables 2FA, or has already enabled it, will receive the rewards starting today!

  • League of Legends: Taliyah ‘Very Cool’ emote
  • VALORANT: ‘Keep it Safer’ Gun Buddy
  • Legends of Runeterra: Rare Prismatic Chest
  • Teamfight Tactics: Little Legend Egg

How can two-step verification be enabled?
